Dimitar Trenev is an Advanced Scientific Associate at ExxonMobil Technology and Engineering company. Dimitar holds a Ph.D. in Mathematics from Texas A&M University and has devoted his research career to pushing the frontiers of scientific computing through innovative mathematical algorithms for both state-of-the-art high-performance computing architectures and novel computing paradigms. During his career at ExxonMobil, Dimitar has contributed to various technical programs addressing different computationally challenging problems in the energy industry. In his current assignment, Dimitar is leading a group of scientists conducting research in the algorithms and workflows required to take advantage of new and emerging computing technologies, such as quantum computing. When not actively contemplating the future of computing, Dimitar enjoys reading, biking, cooking and travel.
