Dr. George Siopsis received his PhD from the California Institute of Technology. He is a theoretical particle physicist currently working on quantum computing and quantum information processing. Together with collaborators at ORNL, he has built a quantum optics laboratory for quantum cryptography. He has developed quantum algorithms, including quantum machine learning, quantum field theory, quantum walks, quantum games, and combinatorial optimization, and implemented them on existing quantum hardware, such as IBM Q, IonQ, and D-wave. His research is funded by DoE, NSF, ONR, DHS/CIRI, ARO, and DARPA.
