Dr. Rakesh Radhakrishnan currently serves as a Technology-to-Market Advisor at the Department of Energy’s Advanced Research Projects Agency-Energy (ARPA-E) where he supports technology commercialization efforts for the distributed generation, additive manufacturing, carbon neutral aviation and artificial intelligence programs. He joined ARPA-E in 2019 after a stint at Saudi Aramco as a strategy and business development specialist for their power business. He began his career at United Technologies Research Center (UTRC), managing many renewable energy and energy efficiency research programs. After UTRC, he worked as a strategy consultant at Navigant and Thomson Reuters, supporting a variety of projects across the energy value chain. Radhakrishnan holds a PhD in Chemical Engineering from Virginia Tech, an MBA from Carnegie Mellon University, and a BS in Chemical Engineering from the University of Virginia. He has published several peer reviewed technical papers in the field of heterogeneous catalysis and holds six patents.
